Outreach
As well as Deaf Awareness and accredited Sign Language courses HTT deliver tailored basic sign language courses to staff in frontline services e.g. Health Centre staff, Council Office staff, Bank staff, retail staff; also to teachers in schools and to local Community Groups. Clients can request content and length of tailored course according to their needs.
Information Officer
Pauline our Information Officer attends Coffee Mornings which are held on the last Friday of every month in various local cafes for deaf members who have limited transport. We find these mornings very beneficial as Pauline can discuss in both BSL/ISL any relevant issues.
Our Information Officer provides a confidential, one to one service (in BSL & ISL) for members of the Deaf community who seek advice, information and support in a range of issues.
