Social Club
Hands That Talk Social Club has been set up to provide opportunities for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing people to integrate and socialise.
We organise seasonal events such as Christmas, Halloween and Easter parties. One of the best attended events is our summer Bar-B-Que. Regular get-togethers at local pubs or restaurants are very popular as is our monthly coffee mornings at various cafes around the area.
With the purchase of our building and the plans for developing a Community Hub we hope to meet more often and also to have a new bowling team to enter into a local league. Should this come to fruition we welcome other groups to use this new Community Hub.
The Social Club Committee is made up of Deaf and Hearing members. We as a committee try to cater for the entire community when organising any of our events.
Everyone is welcome to attend our events (see our calendar) and/or become a member of our Social Club at any time.
This is also a good opportunity for those who wish to practise their sign language.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
